THREE IMPORTANT THINGS OF GOD
1. The Spirit of God is Our Power - "Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might" (Eph. 6:10); the mighteness of the Almighty God, which He put forth when He raised up Jesus Christ from the dead (Eph.1:19); the power of the Holy Ghost (Rom.8:11).
2. The Armour of God is Our Covering - Put on the whole armour of God (Eph.6:11); We can respond to this prpperly when we obey Rom. 13:4, "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ" for the Holy Spirit is the power to enable us to clothe ourselves in the armour of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is the One that answers to every piece of the armour of God. We need the whole Christ to protect us, for He is our Protector and Protection, He will keep mus safe.
3. The Word of God is our Sword - We are to use God's Word both defensively and offensively to put the enemy in check, setting him off to his confusion and defeat. Christ met Satan's trickery by weilding the sword of the spirit.
Bishop & Elect Lady Beard - "WELCOME YOU"
NEW BEGINNINGS...
DUET. 8:3..."Man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord."...
At the beginning of Jesus ministry, he quoted this text in Mt. 4:4, when He faced Satan's snares in the wilderness.
By doing so Jesus made the knowledge of the Word a powerful weapon against the attack of the Adversary.
Because the parallel is of Israel's recieving the daily supply of mana, we know that the believer is to seek and feed upon a regular, daily portion of God's Word.
Psm.119:165 adds that the Word of God has provided for us a solid base that will keep us firm and secure no matter what circumstances we face.
Let no one think spiritual survival is possible for long without nourishment from the Word of God.
1 Pet. 2:2 declares that God's Word is as essential to the believer as milk is to a new born baby or child.
It is not an option...but a necessity...As you begin your ministry this year, are you drawing daily on the Word of God?
It is a discoverable, definitive, discerning resource for meeting every challange in life.
Whatever you may come up against or whatever may come against you in this year or any other, remember God's promise is there for you to partake.
THREE STADGES OF SALVATION
1. REGENERATION - The first stadge of Salvation means we are: a) Saved (Eph. 2:8-9); b) Born Again - the new spiritual nature we recieve with salvation. (St. John. 3:3; 2 Cor. 5:17); c) Converted translated from Greek word meaning "moral revolution". Biblical conversion is changing from a non-believer to a believer in Christ, accepting Him as Savior and Lord. Conversion is very simular to the word "repent".
The word translated "repent" is (METANOE, meta-noe-oh) meaning a change of mind followed by a change in behavior. Turning from our sins to God's purpose for our lives and believing the Gospel good news that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead to prove everything He taught was true.(Acts 20:21b; James 2:19; Mark 1:15); d) Justified (Rom.5:1); e) Redeemed(Rom.3:24). But this is just the beginning of the wonderful gift of salvation.
2. SANTIFICATION - Regeneration is instant, but santification is progressive, a continual process. (HAGIAZ0, hag-ee-ad-zo), is translated from the Greek meaning "santify", meaning "to seperate" or "set apart". Being set apert from the world to be used by God. Santification is the process of being made holy or different from the world. Santification here is describing the ceremonial cleansing of the Israelites to make them suitable for service in the tabernacle and later the temple. (Heb. 9:13)
"Santified"is the translated verb from of the noun "holy" in the NT, Santification is the a process and holiness is the end result that makes us more like our savior Jesus Christ. (Eph. 4:13b) "Growing in grace" or "growing in Christ" is also deals with santification. (St. John 17:17) We get this power to apply the Word into our lives is through the Holy Ghost. (Rom. 15:16)
3. GLORIFICATION - This part of salvation happens when Christ returns. From our accepting Jesus Christ as savior, we begin to grow or are santified and mature into into our glorification when Jesus returns. (Philip. 3:21) In heaven we will have glorified or transfigured bodies as Jesus has (Matt. 17: 2b) (DOXA, dox-uh) is translated glory, which means "manifestation of perfection and righteousness".
The bodies we now live in are but shells of what they will be in heaven, where not only our spirits but our bodies will be redeemed. When Peter, James, and John saw Jesus transfigured, they saw the Shekinah glory of God. This word "Shekinah" shows up in Jewish writtings describing the splendor of God's presence. In Exd. 34:50, after Moses spends 40 days in this shekinah glory of God on Mt. Sini, he came down with the tablets containing the 10 commandments in his hands, his face was shinning with God's shekinah glory.
