Let's Talk.

MAXIMIZED LIVING

Learn how to live a well balanced life through practical articals and devotions from God's Word. God calls us to improve and to do our best, not on our own, but through Him. God calls us to become more like His Son, Jesus Christ. Doing this will help you maximize living.

The Power of the Word of God (1 Pet. 1:17-25). The power of the Word of God and why it is so important.

You were concieved by the Word of God (1 Pet. 23). When you were concieved and born of your mother, your birth was a result of your father. When you were born again, your nwe life was a result of your heavenly Father.. Read James 1:18 to unfold more of this truth.

You were cleansed by the Word of God (1 Pet. 22). It is the Word of God that gives you life, gives you purity and makes you clean.

You are completed by the Word of God (1 Pet. 2:1-2). As new born babies want milk, you should want the pure and simple teaching. It will allow you to grow and mature in your salvation.

IN GOD WE TRUST

Do you trust God...really? The truth is, a lot of people might say yes, but they sure don't act like it. And worse, because they don't trust Him, they might steal from Him. Come on now! No one would steal or embezzle money from God. But God's shocking message to His people is "you have robbed Me!" (Mal. 3:8) Real credentials reveal that billions of people have stolen from God. They use that money to subsidize their reckless spending. Yet many are unaware of their larceny, so here we want to show you how to avoid that same mistake and how to prosper financially through real faith in God.

1. According to the Bible, a portion of our income belongs to the Lord.

The tithe belongs to God. One tenth of a person's income belongs to God. (Lev. 27:30)

2. What is the Tithe?

The tithe is one-tenth of a person"s income. The word "tithe" literally means "tenth." It is God's, I have no right to keep it. When I tithe I am not making a gift, I am  returning to to God what already is His. If I am not returning this to God, I am not tithing. (Num. 18:21,24)

3. Does the Lord tell us where to bring the tithe? God asks us to bring the tithe into His storehouse. (Mal. 3:10)

4. What does the Lord refer to when He speaks of His storehouse

God refers to the storehouse as "mine house" (Mal. 3:10), which means His temple or church. Nehm. 13:12 further points out that the tithe is to be brought to the temple treasury, which is God's storehouse. Other supporting scripturs are (1 Chron. 9:26, 2 Chron. 31:11, 12; Nehm. 10:37, 38).  In O T times, God's people brought 10 percent of all their increase, including crops and animals, to the storehouse.

5. How does the Bible help us understand that tithing did not end with Moses' system and end at the cross?

(Gen. 14:20)...And he (Abraham) gave him a tithe of all. (Gen. 28:22)...Jacob said, "And of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You. Yes the tithe was part of Moses' system, but Abram and Jacob lived long before Moses' day and they tithed their income. So you see God's plan of tithing preceded Mosas' law.

6. Did Jesus abolish the plan of tithing?

No on the contrary? Jesus endorsed the plan of tithing. In Matt. 23:23, Jesus was rebuking the Jews for ommitting the more important matters of the law. Justice and mercy, even though they were meticulous tithers. He then plainly told them they should continue tithing, but should also be just and merceful and faithful.

7. What did God give the use of the tithe in the O T?

The tithe in the O T days was used for the income of the priests. The tribe of Levi (the priest) recieved no portion of land for crop-growing and buisness operations, while the other 11 tribes did. The levites worked full-time taking care of the temple and ministering to God's people. So God's plan was that the tithe support the priests and their familes. (Num. 18:21)

8. Well, did God change His plan for the use for tithes in the N T days

No, He continued it. God's plan today is that the tithe be used to support those who work solely in the gospel ministry. If all people tithed and the tithe were used strictly for the support of gospel workers, there would be more than enough money to reach the entire earth very quickly with God's end-time gospel message.

9. God makes a startling proposal to people who feel uncertain about tithing?

God says, "Try Me now" and see if I will not "pour out for you such a blessing" too big to recieve. (Mal. 3:10) This is the only time in the Bible that God makes such a proposal. God is saying to us, "Give it a try. It will work. I promise you." Hundreds of thousands of tithers the world over will gladly testify to the truth of God's tithing promise. Along with them, you to will learn the truth of the words: "You can't outgive God."
